No Snow

Want to know the very top thing on Anya's list of good reasons to move to England? Having a snowy winter. So I've been sad for her that that didn't happen. The best we got was a couple of frosty mornings. Frost is a bit exciting for California girls, but not snow.
This past week though, we got a second consolation prize. In between some great stretches of sunny, warm spring weather, we got two hail storms. Anya had fun making some modified snow cones and throwing a couple of modified snowballs. Better than nothing!

  1. That is too bad - it is always disappointing when Mother Nature refuses to participate in our plans. What is the name of the pretty open area in the top picture? Does the path lead into your town or another?

  2. It's called Midsummer Common. It's in between our home and Anya's school, so we cross through there every day. I always feel so lucky to be in such a pretty area.
